Job DescriptionJob Description

The RockStar 101 Youth Enrichment Specialistis a party moderator, a mentor, the emcee of an interactive rock concert where the children become the show. These shows may take place at school events, camps, after school programs, birthday parties and more

The essential work is to stage-coach the children and connect with each of them to ensure they know that their voice matters and that it is being heard by dancing, jumping, singing and more that you bring as a performer to encourage self-expression and help build positive and strong character all while instilling confidence and teamwork in a high energy and FUN environment

Service Requirements:

  • Must be able to work as an independent contractor and pass Level 2 Fingerprint Clearance background check.
  • Have 3-6 months related experience in any related field.
  • Have reliable transportation, involves transporting sound system equipment.
  • Enjoy working with children and have a “can do” attitude, a problem solver.
  • Have an electronic device for music such as a Smartphone, be able to download mobile applications such as Google Calendar.
  • Have good knowledge of today’s music, know and understand cultural diversity.
  • Have availability throughout the week of Monday through Friday.
  • Be reliable and on time for events accepted.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels i.e. children, parents, school staff and administrators, etc.
  • Be able to meet the physical demands of the job i.e. lift up to 40lbs, be on your feet for long periods of time, etc.

Hours: Hours may vary from 2 to 6 hours per day, as early as 7:30am and as late as 6pm. Weekend hours are sometimes available for birthday parties and/or special events. The more you work, the more you make. Flexible hours— perfect for students

Compensation: Initial workshops pay $50-$75/event (which entails working with another performer) and $80-$150/event once performing on their own. Events are usually 1 to 2 hours long with a 30 minute set up and breakdown time.
