Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in supporting the customer service & inside sales team, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring smooth administrative operations at our distribution center for residential and commercial garage doors. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the sales team, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and physical.
- Assist with the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.
Customer Service:
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers.
Inside Sales:
- Assist with inside sales activities, including processing orders, preparing quotes, and following up on leads.
- Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling products to existing customers.
- Collaborate with the outside sales team to ensure customer needs are met.
Order Management:
- Process and track customer orders from receipt to delivery.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the purchasing department to maintain stock availability.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with internal departments, including sales, warehouse, and purchasing, to ensure smooth operations.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, both internal and with customers.
- Analyze customer feedback and sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist with the development and implementation of sales and customer service strategies.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in administrative support, customer service, or inside sales.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial garage door products is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move office supplies and product samples as needed.
