The Administrative Accountant's responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, invoicing, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You will use QuickBooks to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, and receipts. A successful Accounting Assistant will be familiar with all accounting and finance procedures and have exceptional attention to detail. The Account Assistant will also assist with cooperative advertising submission and fund management for our clients. This unique opportunity is great for anyone who is looking for a place to grow their career in Finance and Accounting.

The ideal candidate has Accounts Payable AND Receivable experience, working in both Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide accounting and reporting support to Finance Manager

  • Managing all Accounts Payable and Receivable activities

  • Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner

  • Auditing, tracking, correcting, and reporting accounting discrepancies

  • Keeping management informed and compiling reports/summaries on activity areas

  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

  • Process invoice payments

  • Complete partnership financial reporting

  • Manage client co-op funds and understand the process of submitting documents needed from dealers effectively

  • Continued education of accounting, finance, and other related principles

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience

  • Advanced Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel

  • 1-2 years of experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Budget management experience with the ability to manage large client budgets

  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret data

  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports

  • Familiarity basic accounting procedures

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cooperative Advertising
  • Experience working with automotive dealerships
  • Experience working for a construction or equipment company
