Job DescriptionJob Description

PREMIER PROTECTIVE PACKAGING is located in Walker, MI, we specialize in unique custom packaging applications using Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE), Foam, Bubble, and Non-Woven Spun Bond Polypropylene (SBPP) protective packaging materials. Our manufacturing technology utilizes state of the art, customizable sheet, bubble bag, die cut and laminating equipment that allows us to produce custom packaging.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to join our team.

Compensation: This is an exempt position not entitled to overtime. The compensation will be a mix of salary, commission and other incentive pay.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Actively and consistently prospects and develops new sources of business through telephone marketing and outside personal sales calls

2. Cultivates business relationships

3. Develops a sales strategy to achieve company sales goals and revenues

4. Sets individual sales targets

5. Coordinates and monitors online sales activity

6. Investigates lost sales and customer accounts

7. Forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue

8. Generates timely sales reports

9. Formulates sales policies and procedures

10. Conducts market research

11. Analyzes data to identify sales opportunities

12. Attends trade meetings and industry conventions

13. Responds to inquiries in a timely manner

14. Maintains up to date prospect information

15. Investigates new product development

16. Creates and maintains marketing strategies

17. This is a non-remote position. The Sales Representative is expected to be at the Company’s office except when traveling and visiting customer sites. The in-person presence is critical to fulfilling the listed job duties and responsibilities. Travel required approximately 60% of the time primarily in the Great Lake States

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science degree in Business or sales related curriculum or other related program preferred

2. 5 years in sales, 1.5 years in flexible packaging or 3 plus years packaging industry experience

3. Experience calling on Industrial Packaging Distributors a plus

4. Knowledge of Polypropylene, Polyethylene, foam, bubble, and non- woven spun bond polypropylene protective packaging materials a plus

5. Superior written and verbal communication skills

6. Fluent with Microsoft office

7. Ability to professionally resolve customer issues
