Senior Analyst/Developer – Global Logistics

Overview

Reports to Director of Information Technology

A leading Global Logistics company is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Analyst/Developer with a robust background in Supply Chain Management software. This role is pivotal in enhancing our data management capabilities and integrating sophisticated technologies to streamline our logistics operations on a global scale.

Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, including crafting and refining Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, and managing database tables.

· Execute data transformation tasks and ensure accurate data mapping using UML methodologies.

· Implement and oversee file transfer protocols such as SCP, SFTP, EDI, and API data interchange to ensure secure and efficient data flow.

· Collaborate with IT and logistics teams to deploy and optimize Supply Chain Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems.

· Utilize both established and emerging technologies to achieve enterprise-scale data integrations and enhance system performance.

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Technical Skills Required:

· Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in database table management and data mapping.

· Expertise in file transfer technologies and protocols, including SCP/SFTP/EDI, and familiarity with API integrations.

· Experience with Supply Chain Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and multitask effectively.
