Job Summary:

The Production Manager will oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring that production processes run efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in manufacturing, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Lead and supervise a team of production staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular safety audits.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to ensure materials are available for production.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present production reports, including performance metrics and key issues, to senior management.
  • Problem-Solving: Address production issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and quality control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
