We manage a diverse portfolio of Medical Office properties in multiple states and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper with expertise in Yardi property management software to join our team.

 

Job Summary:

The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions for our property portfolio using Yardi software. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in Yardi. The successful candidate will work remotely and provide crucial support to our accounting team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•  Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple properties using Yardi property management software.

•  Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and rent collections, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

•  Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and current.

•  Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

•  Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of property budgets, providing insights and recommendations for financial improvements.

•  Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.

•  Communication: Collaborate with property managers, tenants, and vendors to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues.

•  Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

 

Qualifications:

•  Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong preference for experience in property management.

•  Yardi Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in using Yardi Breeze property management software is essential.

•  Education: Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

•  Skills:

      •   Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

      •   Excellent organizational and time management skills.

      •   High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

      •   Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

      •   Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Contractor Specifics:

•  Independent Contractor Status: This position is for a 1099 independent contractor. As a contractor, you will be responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and other benefits.

•  Payment Terms: Invoices should be submitted on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, with payment made within five business days of invoice receipt.

•  Tools and Equipment: As an independent contractor, you will need to provide your own computer, general business software, and other necessary tools to perform your duties.

•  Non-Employee: You will not be considered an employee of Guiding Point   

    Properties, LLC, and this agreement does not include employee benefits or

    protections.

 

 

Additional Requirements:

•  Remote Work Environment: Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.

•  Availability: Flexibility to work 3-5 hours per week, with the possibility of adjusting hours based on workload and deadlines.
