Position Summary:

The Lead Property Accountant will oversee financial reporting and analysis for our industrial property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and record journal entries
  • Provide mentorship to the accounting team
  • Analyze financial discrepancies
  • Conduct account reconciliations
  • Collaborate with Property and Asset Management departments
  • Assist in the preparation of property budgets
  • Review monthly sales tax entries
  • Support the onboarding process for new properties
  • Document property tax transactions
  • Offer suggestions for process enhancements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Yardi Voyager
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on deadlines
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Familiarity with real estate accounting principles
  • Demonstrated personal accountability
