We are the US division of, and sole distributor for a major French luxury stationery, gift, and fine art supply manufacturer. We are currently looking for a take-charge Key Account Salesperson to work both remotely and in our midtown Manhattan office.
Specifically, we need an energetic and enthusiastic self-starter who will:
· Maintain and grow our wholesale business with current big box retailers, e-commerce sellers, as well as major industry distributors.
· Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships with retail/wholesale buying teams and management
· Develop new business via trade shows, market appointments, and cold contacts.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
· Minimum 4 years of wholesale account management or retail buying experience and ability to interface with management from high-volume, ‘big box’ retailers such as Blick, Michael’s, Barne’s & Noble, etc
· Experience working with independent Amazon and e-commerce sellers
· Ability to understand customer objectives
· Strong written and oral communication skills with experience presenting new products and retail programs to chain stores
· Solid understanding of retail math
· Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
· Excel proficiency
· Flexible enough to work 2-3 weekends a year, representing us at national trade shows
· Some domestic travel required
