ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting in the professional management of all assigned properties and personnel. The tasks required of this position will require flexibility, excellent organization and attention to detail. The Assistant Property Manager is primarily responsible for assisting the Property Manager in maintaining and improving commercial real estate assets as well as monitoring the fiscal performance of the properties. This position will report to the Property Manager. The responsibilities of this position will vary significantly from day to day and week to week.

Assistant Property Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists manager by performing related duties.
  • Supports staff results by communicating job expectations and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Helps to coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
  • Aids in developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate all real estate transactions
  • Attract and educate new tenants
  • Investigate and resolve tenant complaints
  • Update and improve properties to increase return on investment
  • Ensure all work order and repair requests are processed in a timely fashion
  • Supervise and train property staff
  • Enforce property and associations' rules and regulations

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in real estate or sales
  • 1-3 years experience in property management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook)
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple deadlines in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented and possess an “upbeat / can-do” attitude.
