Employers Resource is a Human Resource consulting company that provides various services for our clients to help them with their employee compliance needs. We provide payroll, benefits, retirement and HR services. We are looking for an ideal candidate for Office Administration to join our team.

The Office Administration role manages the entire life cycle of a Workers’ Compensation claims and supports the HR Department with various administrative tasks.  Qualified candidate will be good with managing multiple tasks and can be trusted with sensitive information. Must have great communication skills to interact with colleagues, our client’s executive team, insurance claims adjustors, medical providers and most importantly, must possess a good bedside manner in dealing with injured workers.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree – preferred.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years with direct hands-on Workers’ Compensation claims processing. 

Qualified candidate will have a solid understanding of Workers’ Compensation rules in California. Qualified candidate must understand OSHA 300 and 300 logs and will have a strong understanding of the factors that go into producing those reports.

Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel, Access.

Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer services and interpersonal communication skills.

Must be a self-starter and able to accomplish expected tasks under minimal supervision; Ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities:

In the Office Administration role, you’ll be responsible for administering the workers' compensation program within an organization. Your key duties include:

·       Claims Management: Implementing a consistent process for recording, investigating, and reporting workers’ compensation claims in compliance with laws and regulations.

·       Documentation and Reporting: Preparing and submitting required reporting and documentation to OSHA, state and local agencies, and other relevant entities.

·       Case Liaison: Monitoring all claims and communicating with employees, managers, insurance representatives, union representatives, medical staff, and attorneys involved in each case.

·       Status Updates: Providing case status details and necessary information to involved parties, including notifications of hearings, outcomes, return-to-work plans, or restrictions.

·       Regulatory Compliance: Staying up to date with all regulations and laws related to reporting workers’ compensation.

·       Unemployment claims management.

·       SDI & PFL claims management.

·       Verification of employment request.

·       Processing New Hire paperwork for Payroll

 

Skills

·            Proven experience as a Workers’ Compensation Claim Administrator or similar skill set

·            Proven experience working with Workers’ Compensation claims or similar skill set

·            Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases

·            Trustworthy with personal identifiable information (PII)

·            Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail

·            Excellent communication skills

·            Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Note: Hourly wage will depend on experience.

Pay:  $23.00 to $25.00 per hour (DOE)
