Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to join our dynamic team. The Parts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the parts department, ensuring efficient inventory management, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of parts and accessories for powersport vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintaining accurate records of parts and accessories. Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce excess stock.
- Customer Service: Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding parts and accessories, including identifying and sourcing hard-to-find items. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to parts and services.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the parts team, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
- Sales and Promotions: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve department goals. Create promotional offers and incentives to drive parts sales and increase customer satisfaction.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure competitive and cost-effective procurement of parts.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of parts sales, inventory levels, and transactions. Prepare and analyze reports to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve department processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a parts management role, preferably in the powersports or automotive industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of parts and accessories for powersport vehicles. Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong customer service and communication abilities. Leadership and team management skills.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certifications or training in parts management or related fields are a plus.
