Vacuum Atmospheres Company (VAC) is seeking a Field Service Technician/Repair Support at our Hawthorne, CA facility. The successful candidate would be mechanically inclined and provide inside and outside support of both new and vintage systems. Travel is required and will involve driving personal vehicle in the West Coast territory as deemed reasonable. All travel and mileage are expenses reimbursed.

Duties are as follows, and other duties may be assigned:

  • Ability read flow diagrams and schematics
  • Understanding of AC and DC circuitry
  • Experience VOM and basic tools
  • Electromechanical knowledge & electronic controls
  • Familiar with electromagnetic and pneumatic components
  • Answering incoming service calls & sales order processing
  • Quoting replacement and spare parts
  • Excellent customer relation skills
  • Computer literate, familiar with MS Office, Outlook, etc.
  • Motivated Self-Starter
  • Valid Passport and clean driving record
  • Ability to travel domestically on limited notice
  • Experience providing hands-on technical service
  • Work with engineering as needed
  • Incoming sales order processing
  • Professional telephone etiquette
  • Experience selling capital equipment a plus
