Position Overview

This is a permanent, hybrid (minimum 3 days per week onsite) full-time position in our New Haven, Connecticut facility.

Under the guidance of the Senior Director, Business Services/Information Technology and the leadership team, this position will be responsible for overseeing and performing XingImaging’s day-to-day financial and administrative activities along with short and long-term financial planning. In addition, this position will be a key participant and, in certain cases, lead the development of sales proposals and quotations. This is a highly collaborative role, and this position is expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

MITRO Biotech Co., Ltd. is a molecular imaging contract research organization (MI-CRO) company in China. MITRO provides outstanding contract research for new drug development using radiolabeling and molecular imaging techniques. MITRO provides integrated solutions, including evaluation of potential therapeutics, biodistribution, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. MITRO provides translational research using a wide range of non-clinical through Phase 0 clinical trial services. MITRO’s focus includes but is not limited to: cancer, coronary heart disease, Alzheimer disease, epilepsy, Parkinson disease, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, gene expression, and stem cell research.

MITRO Biotech Co., Ltd.’s acquisition of XingImaging, LLC in September 2023 brought with it an active expansion to offer early through late phase PET clinical imaging and clinical services to industry sponsors and researchers for advancement of new imaging tracers for evaluation of diagnostic indicators, disease progression, and therapeutic medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Account Management:

• Oversee and serve as backup for the company accounting team. Perform accounting setup and ongoing day-to-day bookkeeping services such as:

• Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, and Invoicing. Services include but not limited to receiving, recording, processing, and verifying transactions.

• Reconcile the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers

• Manage income and expenditure accounts, and completing analysis of expenditures

• Produce a variety of reports including income statements and balance sheets

• Review for accuracy reports, figures, and postings

• Reconcile and report any discrepancies found in the records

Payroll:

• Oversee and serve as backup to the accounting team:

• The preparation, entry, and validation of payroll data using payroll provider’s online system to produce accurate and timely payroll

• Prepare and enter payroll journal entries

• Process and issue W-2 forms to employees

Financial Analysis:

• Develop financial plans, forecasts, and budget

• Monitor cash flow and alert senior management to projected cash flow issues

• Run short and long-term analysis, trends, and forecasting

• Make recommendations to Sr. Director and company leadership

Tax Management and Company Business Structure:

• Ensure the filing and remittance of taxes and other financial obligations

• Monitor subsidiary financial positions and prepare consolidated financial statements

Sales and Proposal Development:

• Work with XingImaging leadership to develop new business and expand existing business through proposal, budgeting, and contracting process

General:

• Collaborate with accounting, payroll, and other service providers on a regular basis as part of day-to-day, monthly, annual, and event-driven activities including annual fiscal reporting and audits

• Recommend and ensure sufficient controls and monitoring are in place that meet required accounting standards and regulatory requirements

• Initiate and manage financial, accounting, and payroll software used by the company

• Participation in vendor evaluation and selection

• Support structural growth of XingImaging as an evolving company, through procedure creation, process improvement, resource expansion

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

• Undergraduate degree, advanced degree preferred

• 7 years of experience with or knowledge of US accounting principles such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including the recording and measurement of business or financial transactions in any field of practice.

• Experience with QuickBooks Online

• Experience with China accounting principles

• Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets

• At least 5 years’ experience performing management of complex initiatives or equivalent experience

• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as ability to develop processes where there is no existing roadmap

• Must be a self-starter able to excel independently; this is a remote position and success will be measured by timeliness of deliverables and reaching milestones

• Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize work at hand and manage multiple tasks to meet timelines, which requires awareness and attention due to wide differences in time zones.

• Strong interpersonal and people management skills; ability to work productively both independently and as part of team, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with individuals of varied backgrounds

• Demonstrated experience with fast-paced team environment; comfort with ambiguity and flexible about changing dynamics and priorities

• Strong competencies for and/or direct experience managing staff members.
