 Job Overview: As a Logistic Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and managing logistic operations. You will ensure goods and materials are delivered efficiently and on time and manage logistic budgets and ensure compliance with regulations. You will collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to develop effective logistic strategies and optimize logistics operations.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Formulate and execute logistic strategies that ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and materials.

  2. Supervise the scheduling and routing of shipments to guarantee timely delivery while minimizing logistic costs.

  3. Work closely with internal departments, such as procurement and inventory management, to coordinate logistic needs and optimize supply chain operations.

  4. Monitor and evaluate logistic performance metrics, including on-time delivery, logistic costs, and carrier performance, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  5. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing logistic operations, including safety regulations and licensing requirements.

  6. Foster and maintain relationships with carriers and vendors to ensure reliable and cost-effective logistic services.

  7. Lead, manage, and develop a team of logistic professionals through hiring, training, and performance management.

  8. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in logistic management technology to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.

  9. Address any logistic-related issues, such as delays, accidents, or customer complaints, by implementing appropriate solutions to minimize disruptions.

 

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

  2. Proven experience working in logistic management or a similar role.

  3. Knowledge of logistic regulations and compliance requirements.

  4. Familiarity with logistic management systems (TMS) and other relevant software applications.

  5. Strong leadership and management skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.

  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  7. Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced logistic environment.

  8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address logistic challenges.

  9. Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in logistic management.

  10. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
