Our client a Non-Profit Jewish Company located in Central PA is seeking an individual to fill the full-time position of Community and Donor Relations Director. This position will report to the Executive Director and will be an integral part of the community. Generous PTO, Paid Holidays, Heath Benefits, $65-$80 Salary DOE
Responsibility of Community and Donor Relations Director
• Provide overall coordination and support for the Legacy program.
• Work closely with the legacy program professionals, the Foundation Executive Director, President, Board and other staff.
• Guide, encourage, assist, engage and train participating legacy team members to facilitate bequest gift conversations.
• Develop appropriate marketing and other related PR materials.
• Disseminate Marketing/PR materials for newsletters, publications and mailing.
• Ensure that all are linked to Foundation’s website.
• Work with Foundation’s participating organizations to implement the community legacy plan and guide them through each step.
• Plan and facilitate educational workshop sessions.
• Ensure appropriate materials are distributed at workshops
• Relevant material is published in the local Jewish Newspaper and provided for newsletters.
• Report activities and success on the community legacy program.
• Work closely with each participating identifying prospects.
• Assist Foundation and partner organizations with legacy development efforts.
• Design, implement, monitor and review reports to track and analyze results of legacy and general development.
• Review current reporting systems in place and advise staff on changes.
Qualifications of Community and Donor Relations Director:
• B.A. degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Charitable gift development and funding experience preferred.
• Experience in a Jewish communal organization is preferred.
• Relationship building and development experience.
• Proven expertise in marketing and development strategies.
• Passion for strengthening the Jewish community and committed to the concept of legacy giving.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel. PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Familiarity and expertise with social media and web applications.
• Experience with and knowledge of planned giving and endowment terminology.
