Job DescriptionJob Description

The Administrative Assistant for the Long Beach Police Department reports directly to the Chief of Police who also serves at the Town Administrator. Duties and responsibilities are both general clerical duties and assist with the daily operations of the police / town operations. Greeting the public that visit the Town Hall, answering phone calls, directing calls to the proper departments. Clerical duties are general data entry, spreadsheet preparation, drafting letters, payroll preparation, tracking expenses, generating reports, tracking and ordering  inventory, ordering supplies, organizing documents, fulfill records request, setting up meetings, and overall coordinating with the other Town departments. Additional duties that are periodically assigned by the Chief / Town Administrator. Position is full-time Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm. Weekends and holidays off. Individual must pass a background check.
