Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or GED. Any combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Language: Proficiency in oral/written English. Bilingual (i.e., Spanish) preferred; additional languages a plus (i.e., Creole)
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer (Word, Excel, other data collecting programs).

Requirements

Successful completion of Toxicology test, L2 fingerprints, local background screening, and OIG reference check. Valid FL Driver License
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Job Type Full-Time

ABOUT CAMILLUS: For more than 62 years, Camillus House has provided a variety of programs to address the needs of individuals who are mentally ill and suffer from substance abuse disorders, with the end goal of helping them achieve housing stability. One of the largest and most comprehensive non-profit providers of housing and services for the homeless in Miami, Camillus offers those served compassionate and professional care through our DCF-licensed and CARF-Accredited behavioral health programs and specialized outreach teams, and our staff a rewarding career that makes a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies
  • Assists in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that all equipment and systems are operating efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure team compliance.
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Facilities on the implementation of new building projects
  • Provides on and off-hour emergency responses, including repairing equipment, stabilizing damage and requesting support personnel as needed.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings as required.
  • Keeps accurate mileage logs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
