Job Overview

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for addressing and resolving all maintenance-related issues in accordance with the standards set by Biltmore Hotel Limited. This role necessitates a consistent commitment to the policies and procedures outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP's).

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in guest accommodations, including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, and other trades essential for maintaining rooms in peak condition.
  • Perform preventive maintenance in various hotel areas as required.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineering staff as needed.
  • Follow directives from the Chief Engineer and/or Hotel Management during emergencies, including but not limited to hurricanes, bomb threats, fires, and national emergencies.
  • Complete any additional assignments from supervisors or the Chief Engineer as necessary.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma; Technical School education is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is preferred.
