Job Overview: We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Financial Planning Analyst to support our organization's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities. This role involves developing financial models, analyzing financial performance, and providing insights to guide decision-making and long-term planning. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Analyze financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads and management to gather financial data and provide guidance on budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analyses and performance metrics.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the financial impact of different business strategies and decisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic reforecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes that may impact financial planning and analysis.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (CFA, CPA, or advanced certification in finance preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Financial Planning Analyst or in a similar FP&A role, with a strong track record of financial modeling and analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel, financial modeling platforms, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and best practices in financial planning and analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and modeling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how financial planning supports organizational strategy.
