Tesani Companies, LLC (“Tesani”) and its subsidiaries (collectively, the “Tesani Group”) is seeking a passionate and business savvy individual to lead our accounting function.Tesani is a holding company founded in 2013. We own and operate
- Eddy HR – a software company on a mission to help small businesses with their human resources function;
- Lift Credit – a financial services company, giving customers access to competitively priced credit;
- Sunshine Heroes Foundation – a private foundation focused on improving the lives of children and their families around the world;
- Tech9 – a technology company specializing in software engineering, architecture, management, and development;
- Tesani Capital – a real estate investment firm
- TIG – Tesani Insurance Group provides a broad array of commercial, employee benefits, personal lines and specialty insurance solutions.
Tesani has created a new corporate controller position to build efficiencies into our accounting/finance processes. The controller will work directly with senior leadership to drive financial decisions and identify growth opportunities throughout the company. A good fit would be a self-starting, self-accountable individual with the ability to think creatively to solve a variety of problems and challenges.
Location: Provo, Utah [or remote]
What you’ll do:
- Develop/implement a month-end close process, where accurate financial statements are consistently delivered in a timely manner
- Cashflow forecasting
- Develop budgets and annual plans
- Ensure accounting processes are GAAP compliant
- Build in efficiencies to the existing accounting processes
- Prepare trend analysis, models, research, and develop expert insight and recommended actions
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators to support decision making
- Partner with leaders to solve business challenges
- Oversee tax preparation
- Manage ad hoc projects and reporting
What you need to get the job done: (minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
- At least four years of related experience – multi-entity, financial services, technology industries are a plus
- A professional, team player
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and QuickBooks experience
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Must be detail oriented with ability to analyze data ensuring quality and accuracy
- Critical thinking skills with ability to research and solve problems
