Position Title: Inventory Control Supervisor

Department: General Store

Reports To: General Store Manager

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Availability: Weekends, holidays, and special events may be required based on operational needs.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly


POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing the retail experience by overseeing all inventory-related activities. Responsibilities include receiving merchandise, managing inventory records in the computer system, preparing items for the sales floor, maintaining stockroom organization, and processing online sales orders, including gift cards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  1. Receive all retail merchandise for both the General Store and online sales.
  2. Handle merchandise for the Deli as necessary.
  3. Complete documentation accurately, counting items, reconciling with shipping tickets or invoices, and ensuring consistency with purchase orders.
  4. Track discrepancies in orders, liaise with vendors for credits or replacements, and ensure follow-through.
  5. Verify the accuracy of invoices, ensuring timely submission to accounting.
  6. Update pricing in the Point of Sale system as directed.
  7. Remove unnecessary packaging and tagging from merchandise.
  8. Maintain daily inventory records in both Point of Sale and Inventory systems.
  9. Organize sale inventory using spreadsheets.
  10. Box and store sale merchandise efficiently.
  11. Support recycling initiatives.
  12. Communicate daily with General Store staff regarding deliveries and merchandise readiness for the sales floor.
  13. Oversee stockroom organization and establish efficient systems.
  14. Coordinate inter-departmental stock transfers.
  15. Assist in quarterly inventory processes for both the General Store and online sales.
  16. Lead the fulfillment of online sales orders.
  17. Manage customer service inquiries via phone and email promptly.
  18. Pack and ship online sales transactions according to company standards.
  19. Order and maintain necessary shipping supplies.
  20. Coordinate pickups with shipping carriers as needed.
  21. Monitor the e-commerce site for product updates and stock accuracy.
  22. Participate in weekly retail meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position may require lifting and moving items up to 100 pounds and may involve working in various environmental conditions.

The work environment is generally quiet, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
