Job DescriptionFinancial Controller
Tesani Companies, LLC ("Tesani") and its subsidiaries are in search of a dedicated and strategically minded professional to oversee our financial operations. Founded in 2013, Tesani is a holding company that manages a diverse portfolio of businesses, including:
  • Eddy HR – a technology firm focused on enhancing human resources for small enterprises;
  • Lift Credit – a financial services provider offering competitive credit solutions;
  • Sunshine Heroes Foundation – a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families globally;
  • Tech9 – a tech company specializing in software engineering and development;
  • Tesani Capital – a real estate investment firm;
  • TIG – Tesani Insurance Group, which delivers a wide range of commercial and personal insurance solutions.

Tesani is establishing a new corporate controller role aimed at streamlining our accounting and financial processes. The controller will collaborate closely with senior management to influence financial strategies and uncover growth prospects across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and accountable individual with a knack for innovative problem-solving.
Location: Remote options available
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute a month-end closing procedure to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct cash flow forecasting.
  • Develop annual budgets and strategic plans.
  • Guarantee compliance with GAAP standards in all accounting practices.
  • Enhance existing accounting workflows for greater efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive trend analyses, financial models, and actionable insights.
  • Establish and evaluate key performance indicators to aid in decision-making.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address business challenges.
  • Oversee tax preparation and compliance.
  • Manage various ad hoc projects and reporting tasks.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience, preferably in multi-entity, financial services, or technology sectors.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with QuickBooks.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to ensure data accuracy.
  • Critical thinking abilities to research and resolve issues effectively.
