Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied Epic, possess agency-level insurance accounting knowledge, and be adept at working across multiple accounting systems and multiple departments. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the applied epic accounting system within the department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis via our company systems
  • Utilize and empower team usage of applied Epic for accounting tasks, ensuring all data is correctly entered and reconciled.
  • Leverage agency-level insurance accounting knowledge to maintain compliance and accuracy in financial records, and conduct training to field staff when needed
  • Work seamlessly between multiple accounting systems to ensure data consistency and integrity
  • Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and financial planning
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned within this department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in applied epic accounting system
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in applied Epic and familiarity with other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of agency-level insurance accounting principles.
  • Experience working across multiple accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
