Job Summary

Hawx is seeking to hire a Sr. Financial Analyst in Ogden, Utah. The successful

candidate will become a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A). The group serves as financial and strategic partner to business leaders across the company, managing the financial planning process and providing actionable insights in order to drive company profitability. This role reports to the Director of FP&A.

DETAILS

  • Full-time position

  • Salary Range $85k - $100k (DOE)

Responsibilities

  • Own the finance partnership for assigned business segments, cultivating a strong working relationship and taking joint responsibility for financial

performance

  • Lead monthly P&L reviews for assigned business segments, recapping results,

providing insights and explaining variances

  • Own the forecasting process incorporating current business trends and planned strategies

  • Work collaboratively to establish appropriate annual budgets for assigned

business segments in order to guide efforts toward improved profitability

  • Proactively identify, develop and implement enhancements to existing reporting and KPIs to keep organization apprised of performance

  • Lead ad hoc analysis and decision support, with ability to determine appropriate methodology, execute analysis, and package business case for presentation to senior leadership

SKILLS

  • Tech Literate: Proficient with commonly used documents and software (spreadsheets, presentations, etc.) and capable of learning new software in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Google Workspace tools is a plus.

  • Problem-solver: Prioritizes understanding the problem over chasing new solutions. Pays close attention to the details and has a keen sense for what’s not working and how it can be improved.

  • Operational Efficiency: Understands operational processes and workflow optimization strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates with different departments to align processes and ensure seamless coordination with all stakeholders.

  • Task Management: Utilizes task management software (Asana) to organize, track, prioritize, and complete routine tasks.

  • Organization and Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks while staying on top of multiple workflows in process and to achieve those tasks on time and on target.

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field

    • MBA or CFA preferred

  • 2+ years of relevant Finance experience

  • Proven experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting,

financial modeling, trend analysis, and ad hoc analysis

  • Strong team player who will demonstrate initiative and flexibility

  • Presence to interact with and influence senior leadership

  • Ability to work effectively across functions and to navigate through obstacles

  • Familiarity with Netsuite or Planful a plus
