Media and Outreach Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement through social media channels and community outreach efforts. This role involves creating, developing and implementing compelling content, managing social media accounts, and building relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance the organization’s public presence as well as create behavioral health awareness regarding available resources and treatment services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
- Perform all duties and demonstrate behaviors and attitudes consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization.
- Continually participate in building and maintaining positive working relationships through effective communication, performance improvement and teamwork efforts.
- Be of good character and reputation; sufficient physical, mental, and emotional health to satisfactorily perform her or his job duties.
- Accomplish individual and team goals and objectives established by supervisor based on performance evaluations and organizational need.
- Comply with all guidelines regarding client rights and confidentiality.
- Comply with documentation and training set forth by Human Resources.
SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATION:
- Develop, implement and manage social media strategies across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.
- Collaboratively maintain a unified voice and brand equity across social media platforms and engagement marketing materials.
- Asist in the planning, editing, execution and tracking of social media campaigns, including digital advertising, email marketing, videography and event promotions.
- Generate creative ideas for social media posts, stories, and campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
- Collaborate with marketing team to produce visually appealing social media graphics and videos.
- Asist in planning and executing social media campaigns to support marketing and outreach goals.
- Coordinate with other staff and branches to integrate social media and outreach efforts into broader marketing initiatives.
- Collaboratively maintain the Center’s website including creation of content, completing updates, and collaborating with IT Department and/or contractors regarding necessary back end design/maintenance
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and tools to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics to optimize engagement and reach.
- Use social media analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY ENGAGMENT:
- Collaboratively plan and execute outreach campaigns to connect with communities served and expand the Center’s reach.
- Coordinate and participate in relevant community events to promote the Center, enhance visibility and build collaborative networks.
- Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with colleagues, external stakeholders and community members throughout the Center’s catchment area.
- Promotes the Center’s services to the public and business community throughout the Center’s catchment area.
- Coordinate fundraising and donations including event planning, correspondence, acknowledgements and recognition.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field. Demonstrated knowledge and experience may be substituted for course work.
EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated experience in marketing, media, communications and design preferred.
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
- Excellent written communication and editing skills with strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in design and social media platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, InDesign, iMovie, Microsoft, 123rf, Wordpress, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Apple and Android devices) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
- Strong skill set to manage several projects simultaneously, set priorities, problem solve and meet deadlines.
- Maintains a constructive working relationship between and among employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work flexible hours, which may be required.
- Ability to travel within the Center’s service area or to other locations as needed.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous skill development to competently serve individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
