Role Overview:

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for the achievement of the sales and profit objectives for their assigned territory/industry. Works closely with the Branch Manager and the Director of Sales in establishing the territory sales targets to maximize sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Generates and develops new business to meet specified production goals.
  • Maintains and nurtures existing client relationships.
  • Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Works closely with Inside Sales and Branch Management to provide necessary customer information for proper quoting
  • Plans and manages sales territory.
  • Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing clients.
  • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of industry product information.
  • Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed.
  • Uses the company’s CRM to track sales information and maximize opportunities
  • Negotiates contracts and work agreements.
  • Ensures that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
  • Attends and participates in business/trade events that impact business unit.
  • Attends and participates in team strategic sales meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Salary Range: $75k - $107k plus 20% incentive opportunity - Salary based on experience.

  • Personal integrity, customer service, sales, and communications ability to provide top-notch client service while increasing sales and profitability for the organization.
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in the same or similar industry.
  • High School Diploma or College Degree preferred.
  • Expert level MS Office Suite and distribution-specific ERP systems skills.
  • Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug test where required.
