About Us: PsychoGeriatric Services (PGS) is a leader in mental health, with over 30 years of dedicated service to patients in nursing homes, assisted living, and other long-term care facilities. We are a growing team of 100+ highly qualified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, licensed psychologists, and clinical social workers across Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC.

We collaborate with our facility partners to deliver evidence-based mental health care services, including psychiatric assessments, medication management, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, hospital placements and treatment, educational training, and quality regulatory documentation.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide psychiatric care services at our partner facilities. This role offers an opportunity for meaningful, flexible, and autonomous work while making a significant impact on the lives of seniors in our community. We also prioritize your career development by providing support and resources to help you grow professionally.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site psychiatric assessments and medication management to patients in skilled nursing, assisted living, and other long-term care facilities.
  • Consult, educate, and coordinate care with facility staff, including nursing home administrator, director of nursing, and director of social services.
  • Adhere to established regulations, policies, and procedures while exercising initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements
  • Passion for working with seniors and providing exceptional care
  • State license as nurse practitioner (required)
  • Specialty as psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) or adult-gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP) (preferred)
  • DEA license
  • Availability to work during normal, weekday business hours (no night or weekend on-call)
  • Ability to stand for 20 minutes
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds
