The ideal candidate has experience in overseeing and managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, data analysis, and financial reporting, as well as providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
The ideal candidate has experience overseeing and managing various financial, accounting, and operational tasks, preferably within the private sector. This person must be organized, have keen attention to detail, and be comfortable balancing multiple priorities, often under a tight timeframe. This role is a full-time, permanent position in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with opportunities to work remotely.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Collaborate with project managers, team members, and clients to effectively manage the invoicing and accounts receivable processes
  • Record financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all vendor, subcontractor, and other expenses
  • Maintain and utilize company systems to ensure the accuracy of information, build and generate reports, and analyze information
  • Manage the setup, maintenance, and closeout of projects and team members in various systems
  • Review, approve, and resolve any discrepancies related to financial and time entries in our firm’s and clients’ systems
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data from multiple sources through regular reconciliation and validation processes
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting, for both internal team members and clients
  • Make recommendations, identify, drive, and take ownership of process improvements for optimization and efficiency related to internal processes and procedures, including creating and maintaining standard and ad-hoc reports, utilizing available tools and systems
  • Support various business operational needs and provide additional support to team members and clients as needed
Qualifications and Skills Desired:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Three or more years of related experience working in finance, accounting, or operations support role would serve as a substitute.
  • Experience in financial operations, analysis, or other business responsibilities, preferably within the private sector
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • Organized with extreme attention to detail
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Positive attitude dedicated to client and customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients, both written and verbally
  • Comfortable working autonomously to problem solve independently with minimal guidance
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and capacity to prioritize work
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Experience with invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
