Primary Purpose:

The Technical Field Sales & Service Support Manager is a specialized technical position designed to provide sales, service and product training support for FNA's Industrial business unit. The position reports to the Director of Industrial Sales and will assist Industrial sales staff, providing guidance and assistance for designing and recommending equipment to meet the needs of FNA's targeted Industrial groups customers. The primary goal of this position is to ensure successful adoption of FNA's Industrial products through education and training programs targeting our Industrial market customers.


Job Description:

  • Must establish rapport and develop strategic working relationships within various FNA departments to help drive incremental sales and revenue growth goals.
  • Proficiently and accurately generate system recommendations based on application and customer needs.
  • Maintain and leverage FNA product knowledge and expertise to:

1) give technical sales presentations;

2) answer technical questions from potential customers;

3) provide technical and sales information to sales and marketing;

4) create sales application recommendations that reflect the details required for installation.

  • Communicate technical product development needs to marketing and engineering staff.
  • Assist in solving customers' technical and application needs or problems.
  • Initiate proactive calls to promote products and services to FNA sales staff, manufacturer representatives, Industrial (rental) partners, and customers.
  • Coordinate between the Director of Industrial Sales, Product Management, Engineers and Marketing to support development of technical presentations, brochures, and application case studies.
  • Work closely with the Director of Industrial Sales to pursue and support national or key account opportunities as assigned.
  • Remain up to date on FNA products and services, as well as make efforts to stay current on competitive positioning.
  • Perform competitive analysis of competing products and technologies.
  • Identify and communicate promotions or specials offered by competitors, and suggest sales and marketing programs when appropriate to limit attrition of market share to such initiatives.
  • Actively participate in associated trade shows, regional sales and service schools, National Sales meetings, and monthly one-on-one reviews.
  • Maintain project list and track progress of projects through forecasting tool, ACT or CRM.

Qualifications:

  • Must be service oriented, articulate and able to present a positive and professional image with the ability to train and motivate.
  • Knowledge and ability to represent integrated cleaning systems to various levels of buyers.
  • Extraordinary communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Above average presentation skills.
  • Ability to converse and convey key program elements to buyers and business principals.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations or rental sponsored events on a regular basis. Travel expected to be 50% for this position.
  • Must be able to articulate sales proposals in English in a clear, easily understood manner.
  • Adept at creative thinking and problem solving and managing flexibility in a constantly changing environment.
  • Self-directed individual who works well within a team environment.
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work effectively across functional areas.
  • Ability and desire to multi-task.
  • Passion for your profession.
  • Previous experience with tool and equipment categories extremely helpful.

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and/or at least five years of successful construction sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
