Dakota Dermatology is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist to join our team at our Sioux Falls office. Schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Our independent dermatology practice is fast-paced, team-driven, and patient-focused. This position is a vital member of our care team contributing to our patient experience and works closely with our small billing team to maintain an efficient revenue cycle and help patients navigate their needs.
Duties for this position include reviewing and maintaining patient records, coding claims and working with insurance companies for claims troubleshooting, collecting and processing payments from patient and insurance companies, communicating with patients regarding their balance and developing payment plans, and supporting office operations through scheduling appointments and backing up our reception team. Training will be provided to obtain a Certified Dermatology Coder certification.
Ideal candidates must communicate with professionalism and dignity, multi-task with phones and computers in a busy environment, possess active listening and organizational skills, support team members and collaborate on solutions, and help patients navigate their needs through strong customer service and teamwork skills.
Pay scale is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour with consideration for skills and experience.
Benefit package includes insurances (medical, dental, vision, disability, life), PTO, and 401k plan with generous 12% employer contribution.
