Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is, but is not limited to, leading, managing and motivating the Accounting Department to provide complete and accurate financial information in a timely manner to facilitate decision making by executive management. This position is responsible for establishing accounting policies and procedures, month-end, quarter end and annual financial closes and reporting.

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the facilitation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close processes and reporting. Direct the preparation of the annual financial statements and other financial reports including schedules and presentations to management, lenders and/or external auditors in connections with the annual financial statement audit.
  • Direct accounting activities for TCB Enterprise, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and controls processes, including but not limited to: general accounting, payables, payroll, fund balancing, receivables and all associated accounting reconciliations. Provide evaluations and timely resolution to complicated day to day account matters.
  • Consult and advise management on financial issues and acquisition activity. Identify and escalate any financial discrepancies and/or issues in a timely process improvement driven manner. Prepare accounting summaries and reporting as needed for management and executive leadership.
  • Perform technical GAAP accounting research and document in technical accounting memos. Analyze accounting impacts of legislative and other regulatory changes. Draft new accounting policies and review existing policies to ensure they reflect current accounting literature and interpretations. Monitor new accounting developments, proactively communicate potential impacts to key stakeholders and operationalize timely. Lead implementation of new account standards, as applicable.
  • Partner capabilities with FP&A team for reporting and complex accounting items. Work with reporting team to facilitate cross-functional learnings and efficiencies.
  • Lead activities related to due diligence and absorption of acquisitions.
  • Establish and manage enterprise related party policies and transactions.
  • Support and help drive key initiatives and improvements across the organization and manage change. Manage special projects and complex technical accounting issues such as divestitures, debt and equity transactions etc.
  • Operate within TCB Enterprise’s guidelines pursuant to the Employee Handbook and all Policies and Procedures
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisor and/or Management
