Summary:

We are looking for an experienced logistics Account Executive to join our team and build for our future success. This role will report to the Vice President. An Account Executive is highly motivated, goal oriented and is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Will be single point of contact for your customers and will work directly with the sales team.


Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the customer's shipping needs, market and seasonality to be able to negotiate rates.
  • Build and develop strong professional relationships through phone and email
  • Continuous contact with customers
  • Managing team, including showing leadership, team building and delegating tasks.
  • Quoting and rating freight
  • Providing real time updates
  • Building loads when necessary
  • Identify, build and develop a portfolio of customers
  • Providing solutions to customers when needed
  • Consistently track and trace your freight movements from origination to destination, and take full responsibility for any occurrences while solving them both constructively and efficiently
  • May require customer contact availability nights/weekends

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the Transportation/3PL industry preferred
  • Prior sales experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently while supporting an overall team mentality
