Job Purpose:

The Bobst Die Cutter Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of Bobst die cutting machines, ensuring precise execution of cutting processes in accordance with job specifications and company standards. This role demands a blend of technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and operational protocols.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate Bobst die cutting equipment, overseeing the machine's performance and making necessary adjustments to optimize production.
  • Read and interpret job tickets to set up machines according to specified requirements.
  • Monitor machine operations closely to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions, ensuring continuous production.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and follow all safety and environmental guidelines set by the department.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and maintenance to ensure smooth operation throughout the press run.
  • Complete tasks and projects within scheduled timelines, maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
  • Accurately record daily production data and specific task durations to facilitate production tracking and management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, minimizing hazards and operational disruptions.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, using hand tools to replace or repair damaged components.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to enhance production efficiency and workplace synergy.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • 1-2 years of experience with Bobst Die Cutting machines or equivalent, demonstrating a thorough understanding of die cutting processes and equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a solid foundation in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions, including complex job tickets and operational procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend extensively, handling materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
