Job Summary:

The Machinery Fabrication Specialist at our Louisville, CO facility plays a crucial role in the design, fabrication, and installation of machinery and processes that support new business initiatives and manufacturing innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols by performing all tasks in a safe and organized manner while actively participating in safety programs.
  • Design, fabricate, and maintain package converting equipment to support the launch of new business projects.
  • Oversee the mechanical aspects of research and development projects.
  • Work independently and travel to various manufacturing sites for machinery installation and troubleshooting.
  • Assist customers with the installation and start-up of packaging equipment at their facilities.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations, maintaining regular communication with vendors, plant management, and business development teams.
  • Coordinate and manage trials for new raw materials and converting processes.
  • Facilitate projects related to process improvements in support of corporate research and development.
  • Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of pilot line converting equipment.

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all levels of management and clients.
  • Experience in fabrication, particularly with metals and plastics.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to foster a positive team environment.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and effective documentation practices.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in fabricating, operating, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with printing presses, laminators, die cutters, and folder/gluers is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a machinist or fabricator is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work safely around large manufacturing equipment and in chemical environments.

Compensation: Pay range from $62,700.00 to $78,320.00
