Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Snelling is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fitting mechanical parts and products using a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up machines and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate machines, including lathes, cutters, borers, millers, grinders, and presses, to assemble and fabricate mechanical parts and products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication.
  • Use hoists, drills, hand tools, holding devices, cutters, and power tools to assemble and fabricate mechanical parts and products.
  • Test run machines and observe machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Check machines for malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Considerable knowledge of tools, materials, and methods.
  • Ability to work from drawings and manuals.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
