Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLucky Cat is an Asian Eating House and late-night lounge inspired by Tokyo's 1930s Kissas and Shanghai's drinking dens.

Asian-inspired small plates, Robata grills, sushi, and sashimi are exquisitely crafted in the open kitchen and raw bar. Each dish is designed to be shared socially at the center of the table. Lucky Cat – Miami features a stunning restaurant, an exclusive and elevated Chef's Table experience, and a Sushi Counter.

The Executive Chef must have:

  • The motivation and leadership skills to represent the Gordon Ramsay brand and its world-class hospitality standards.
  • Previous experience as an Executive Chef in a premium, high-volume quality restaurant, whether independent or part of a 5-star hotel.
  • A solid understanding of classic cooking methods and seasonality, combined with the ability to innovate and create.
  • Extensive experience in Asian and Japanese cuisine, including cooking methods and techniques.
  • Expertise in sushi and sashimi preparation and service within a quality restaurant environment.
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure the delivery of high standards and the highest levels of food quality at all times.
  • A proven track record of recruiting, developing, motivating, and retaining a high-performing kitchen team.
  • A strong personality, with the confidence and enthusiasm to lead the team in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written – to ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the key leader of the kitchen, effectively managing the team and driving food quality and standards across all sections, including sushi.
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate the team to achieve loyalty and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations, adhering to both statutory and Gordon Ramsay Restaurants standards.
  • Oversee the supply chain to ensure it aligns with the concept and meets Gordon Ramsay Restaurant standards.
  • Manage the food margin effectively within the set targets.
  • Coordinate, control, and manage all resources and commercial aspects to achieve the targets of the P&L.
