ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, Other duties may be assigned:

  • Designs, implements, maintains, and expands overall marketing plan emphasizing maximum utilization of established budget.
  • Oversees strategic development, direction and implementation of all marketing activities, including database marketing, advertising, and guest/player development.
  • Interfaces regularly with key management members ensuring implementation of best practices marketing efforts geared toward generating new customers and fostering repeat business.
  • Creating effective advertising strategies that promote individual departments as appropriate for casino demographics.
  • Ability to develop annual marketing budget and ensure yearly promotions are scheduled in advance to keep expenses in line.
  • Keep abreast of the competition; promotions and marketing to maintain a strong competitive edge.
  • Creates regularly scheduled data maintenance programs to include appropriate staff members are trained to enter data using proper protocol and prepare required reports. Requests and reviews data files to ensure “clean” mailing lists.
  • Evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategies for competitive conditions.
  • Runs post-forma promotion reports with ability to break down and evaluate marketing promotion information and understand/explain why it was successful and/or unsuccessful.
  • Oversees development and maintenance of customer database.
  • Oversees design, copy production and placement of print, radio and billboard advertising.
  • Creates analysis and reviews data to ensure that the marketing strategy/business plan is being followed.
  • Develops and produces reports as needed for management.
  • Communicates all marketing promotional advertising media to all internal and external parties.
  • Must work together as a team with other marketing personnel.
  • Attends all company required training.
  • Complies with Missouri Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
  • Communicates and works well with Corporate Partners.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines.
  • Meets company attendance requirements.
  • May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Safe Guards assets of the Company
  • Supervises all policies and procedures for the marketing department
  • Implements marketing department policies and procedures established by management.
  • Manages, directs and supervises all personnel assigned to the marketing department.
  • Establish Player Development goals for Casino Hosts and generate weekly tasks.
  • Creates players’ accounts and prints players’ cards.
  • Redeems points for members.
  • The scope of the overview provides no additional authority outside of their job description. They must comply with reporting relationships, signatory ability, access to sensitive areas, and other requirements outlined in the internal controls.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct supervision of Player Development Manager and Marketing Team Members. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; documenting concerns and discipline; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All Employees must be knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ casino experience in a senior marketing position with direct responsibility for revenue generation and staff management.
  • Ability to analyze competitive information and internal financial information and develop plans with measurable results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming Commission License.
  • Must have a valid Driver License.

SKILLS:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have strong analytical skills and proficiency with formulas and algebraic problems.
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills. Proficient with 10-key.
