We have an exciting opportunity as a Director of Marketing in our St. Louis office for our Lighting One Division.  We are seeking a dynamic leader of Marketing to be responsible for overseeing and growing the Lighting One Marketing program with Lighting One member showrooms.  This includes managing a national marketing campaign, working with outside agencies and resources to drive traffic and engagement to member showrooms through local marketing programs.  You will keep participating members engaged and informed about their marketing efforts and continuously work to make them more effective and help members grow their businesses. You’ll help grow and expand the Lighting One eCommerce program and its impact for our member showrooms.  Additionally, you will work closely with the other Lighting One team members to drive specific initiatives such as member growth, aligned supplier growth, conventions, and overall member engagement with our Cooperative. 

Our ideal candidate will be able to influence others and be able to speak to and “sell-in” marketing to our cooperative member showrooms, speaking with confidence and authority around marketing, its value, and how we can help them be more effective with our programs. 

Our Director of Marketing will:
  • Collaborate with participating Lighting One member showrooms along with outside and internal resources to make their marketing programs effective in driving local brand awareness and drive traffic and sales to their showrooms, websites, and online store as applicable.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of marketing investments through tactics such as websites, content, search marketing, paid digital media, social media, email marketing, etch and monitor the effectiveness of the collective marketing efforts through reporting and analysis.
  • Grow the number of cooperative members participating in our digital marketing program and ecommerce solutions.
  • Support and develop the Lighting One marketing team and promote the Lighting One cooperative to consumers and trade professionals nationally.
  • Support the Lighting One team in growing membership and participation with both lighting showrooms as well as lighting suppliers and oversee and manage the marketing budget.

Do our requirements match YOUR background?
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communication or relevant related experience.
  • 5 plus years working in marketing, either within a company or marketing agency; experience working with outside agencies and resources.
  • Experience in all areas of digital and direct marketing, including website management, content development, SEO, SEM, social media, paid media, email, direct mail, reputation management and more.
  • Experience driving ecommerce sales and ecommerce management preferred.
  • Experience managing campaigns and budgets; strong preference for experience managing others or teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
