Background: The ideal candidate should have 2 to 4 years’ experience in an accounting/analytic level position preferred within the manufacturing sector. Infor Syteline ERP experience is not required but is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Month-end closing
  • Financial statement preparation for multiple divisions
  • Domestic and International expense control/coding and approval for payment
  • Freight analysis (domestic and international)
  • Cost accounting functions such as setting standards and reviewing margins
  • Daily finance operations including cash management and credit
  • Assist with annual budget preparation
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting procedures and policies necessary to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting fundamentals with experience in general ledger, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written, able to work well in a team environment and handle interactions with senior management as well as production workers with confidence to communicate fact-based ideas and support these opinions.
  • Be able to maintain effective working relationships with all levels, adjust to changing priorities based on business needs, handle multiple tasks, and align priorities.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to complete tasks timely and high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and possess strong PC skills, especially in MS Excel and familiarity within an ERP environment.
  • Able to gather information and convert it to a meaningful format for management as required.
