Harger Lightning and Grounding is expanding, and we are in search of a meticulous and proactive Staff Accountant to enhance our finance department.
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial documentation, generating reports, and assisting the accounting team in delivering precise and timely financial data.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Staff Accountant, your duties will encompass the following:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Process invoices and oversee vendor payments.
- Manage customer billing and collections.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
