Staff Accountant

Our client, a prominent and rapidly expanding organization, is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join their accomplished finance and accounting team. This role offers an excellent entry point for an accounting professional looking to take their career to new heights.

Position Summary

  • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, bank reconciliations, and collections
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in the general ledger
  • Assist with the monthly financial close process and reporting
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Maintain organized records and filing systems
  • Support year-end audits by providing documentation
  • Undertake ad-hoc accounting projects and analysis as assigned
  • Potential for growth into roles with increasing responsibility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred
  • 1-5 years of previous accounting experience (internship experience is valued) required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with accounting software/ERP systems is a plus
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong analytical capabilities and high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Collaborative team player with great communication abilities
