Staff Accountant Job Description

Richmond Community Services is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our Finance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Process finance-related documents, including H-1B staff documents, and maintain control of grant income and expenses.
  • Generate reports and perform internal control functions as assigned.
  • Act as back-up to Accounts Receivable Coordinator and Client Accounting Clerk to ensure timely billing and processing of resident activity.
  • Perform other accounting functions as required and assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or comparable experience.
  • Four years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
