  • Welcomes patients with a warm and professional demeanor, fostering a positive atmosphere for the healthcare facility.
  • Coordinates appointment scheduling and collaborates with various departments to facilitate necessary tests.
  • Clearly communicates registration processes and hospital policies, addressing any inquiries from patients and their families.
  • Guides visitors and patients to their designated areas within the facility.
  • Prioritizes registration tasks based on the urgency of the situation and location.
  • Utilizes software to assess Medicare coverage for outpatient services and secures necessary consents.
  • Collects essential patient information, including medical history and insurance details, and accurately inputs this data into the hospital's systems.
  • Ensures compliance with consent requirements for treatment and provides necessary documentation to patients.
  • Facilitates communication with physicians' offices to finalize outpatient orders.
  • Distributes HIPAA privacy information and obtains appropriate signatures.
  • Gathers Advance Directive information as mandated by regulatory bodies.
  • Initiates financial assistance applications for patients without insurance.
  • Issues wristbands to registered patients in accordance with safety standards.
  • Instructs patients on necessary forms and documentation relevant to their visit.
  • Routes various forms to the appropriate departments and maintains accurate records.
  • Implements pre-registration for scheduled procedures and surgeries.
  • Completes necessary documentation for worker's compensation claims.

  • Assists with switchboard operations as required.
  • Maintains accurate daily census reports during night shifts.
  • Supports the Emergency Department with supply orders and patient transfers.
  • Utilizes multiple computer systems for appointment scheduling and registration.
  • Verifies insurance coverage for all patients upon registration.
  • Collects co-payments and manages cash transactions accurately.
  • Scans relevant documents into patient accounts as needed.
  • Completes Medicare Secondary Payer forms for billing accuracy.
  • Generates comprehensive patient records to ensure seamless billing processes.
  • Conducts bedside registrations when necessary.
  • Adheres to all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Assists in various departmental functions as required.
  • Participates in staff meetings and ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the demands of the role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
