*OVERVIEW OF ASSOCIATE DONOR RELATIONS OFFICER ROLE*
The Associate Donor Relations Officer (ADRO) supports branch administrative operations and collaborates with Donor Relations Officers to steward and engage donors. The ADRO ensures compliance with grants processes and maintains associated records and reports in the database. The ADRO may manage and support a small portfolio of donor advised funds and assist Donor Relations Officers with research, donor-focused communications, and related tasks.

*Job Location:* Portland, OR (Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in office - more could be required during training period)
*Compensation:*
* SALARY: $68K 83K DOE.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

*Stewardship and Development - Percentage of Time: 45%*
* Support a team approach to proactive and responsive strategies to steward a portfolio of funds, which may also include dedicated stewardship of an individual portfolio.
* Respond to donor and nonprofit inquiries and requests related to philanthropic goals, fund administration, grantmaking, and donor portal access.
* Partner with Donor Relations Officers on stewardship plans in their portfolios and assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of donor meetings, convenings, communications, and special projects and initiatives, as requested.
* Help connect donors to grantmaking opportunities matched with the causes they care about.
* Listens for opportunities to inspire deeper engagement with OCF: including educating and encouraging fund holders to build or create new funds and to support OCFs statewide initiatives, competitive grants programs, board priorities, and community needs.

*Fund Administration and Operations - Percentage of Time: 40%*
* Maintain fund records in OCFs database, including task and contact log entry to track and report donor engagement and fund coding related to donor preferences and communication.
* Develop an understanding of fund agreements to support DROs in ensuring compliance and adherence to donor intent.
* Ensure accuracy and compliance of grants, including helping coordinate entry of complicated grants as a liaison to the OCF Grants Management Team.
* Apply fund administration and database knowledge to participation in the department-wide ticketing system to fulfill requests related to updating the database, creating reports, filing electronic documents, creating donor lists, coordination of RFP and special grants programs, and due diligence, among other tasks.
* Work with staff across the Foundation to plan and implement the annual donor communication packet cycle (a process that involves intensive database coding, report creation, tailored resource lists, and more).

*Program Management and Community Involvement - Percentage of Time: 10%*
* Partner with Donor Relations colleagues to plan and implement donor education and engagement events and communications, including research and coordination of reports about issue areas, community needs, and nonprofits.
* Maintain and build awareness of needs and causes in communities, particularly as they relate to the interests of donor advisors.
* Participate in non-profit site visits, learning more about current needs/projects and reporting back to donors and colleagues.

*Knowledge and Learning - Percentage of Time: 5%*
* Maintain and expand technical awareness and knowledge of current federal regulations around grantmaking, best practices around grant administration and philanthropy.
* Maintain and expand knowledge of best practices and developments in donor engagement, family philanthropy. and multi-generational giving.
* Develop an understanding of IRS regulations and the Uniform Prudent Management of Invested Funds Act to ensure grantmaking compliance.
* Regularly monitor fund agreements to ensure adherence to donor intent; oversee and implement legal changes to fund agreements; and ensure documentation for how OCF will administer the fund once advisors no longer exist.
