Country Archer (Company) is looking for an experienced and high-performing QA Specialist who will report to the Dir of FSQA and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders under the guidance of Dir of FSQA to develop, implement, maintain and improve the FSQA supplier, raw material, ingredient and packaging programs to ensure regulatory compliance and consistency on producing Safe & High Quality products that conform to the regulatory, 3 rd party certification, company and customer standards.

  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders under the guidance of Dir of FSQA to develop, implement, train, maintain, and elevate the FSQA programs for supplier, co-manufacturer, co-packer, ingredient and 3 rd party location approval, incoming raw material and product receiving, and finished product distribution, which meet regulatory, 3 rd party certification, company, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain supplier, co-manufacturer, co-packer, ingredient, 3 rd party location, 3 rd party certification, and customer documentation on cloud-based systems like SafetyChain, Sharepoint, Tracegain or other similar portals.
  • Develop and maintain internal ingredient, packaging, co-manufactured, co-packed product, and self-manufactured finished product specifications.
  • Assist the Dir of FSQA to perform approval assessment including onsite audit on suppliers, co-manufacturers, co-packers, ingredients, packaging materials, and co-manufactured and co-packed products.
  • Perform and train all concerned personnel on inbound material and outbound finished product inspection / audit.
  • Collaborate with company-operated sites, co-manufacturers and 3 rd party locations to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance and 3 rd party certifications like those for SQF, Gluten Free, Organic, etc.
  • Provide technical support on regulatory compliance, R&D and other special projects as assigned by Dir of FSQA.

  • Participate in special projects and assignments as required by the Director of FSQA.

What will make you successful in this role:
  • A.S. degree or high school diploma.

  • 3 - 8 years of FSQA and/or R&D experience in the USDA and/or FDA regulated food/beverage manufacturing facilities.

  • Strong working knowledge and experience of developing, implementing, maintaining and improving FSQA programs especially those for suppliers, raw materials, ingredients, packaging and finished products.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the regulatory bodies, key external and internal stakeholders to improve FSQA program effectiveness, to resolve FSQA issues and to achieve business goals.

  • Strong working knowledge of current USDA and/or FDA regulatory requirements including those for labeling and claims.

  • Current HACCP and/or FDA FSMA HARPC and PCQI certifications and strong hands-on experience on developing, implementing and maintaining HACCP and/or FDA FSMA Food Safety Plans and pre-requisite programs such as GMP, allergen management, lot traceability, etc.

  • Strong hands-on experience in implementing, maintaining and improving SQF, BRC or relevant GFSI-based food safety certification programs.

  • Strong working knowledge of current food claim certifications like those for Organic, Gluten Free, Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO Project Verified, and hands-on experience on developing, implementing, maintaining and improving certification programs.

  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated strong technical SOP writing and editing skills.

  • Demonstrated multi-project management and priority management skills.

  • An advanced user of PC including MS Outlook / Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Chats / Team, and other software such as those for Zoom, ERP and Warehouse Management.

  • Effective English written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willing to travel (up to 10%), work different / extended hours as required.
