Insight Global is looking for 2 Assistant Project Managers for 65k-80k for a client in Hudson Valley, NY. This person will be joining a growing team of several Sr. Project Managers, who will help train them to advance their careers in construction. This role is perfect for someone who recently graduated that had some type of internship within construction industry preferably or someone that has a 1 year being a construction PM.
They will be spending
- 20 percent of their time estimating (the process of calculating all of the required costs for a construction project, including direct costs (e.g. materials and worker wages) and indirect costs (e.g. equipment depreciation and office worker salaries).
- 20 percent submitting RFI's (business process used in construction to request clarification about documents, drawings, specifications, or other project conditions).
- 20 percent administering sub-contracts (the practice of assigning, or outsourcing, part of the obligations and tasks under a contract to another party known as a subcontractor.)
- 20 percent working in the field (different sites in Hudson Valley, NY, where they will be working on projects
- 20 percent performing ad hoc tasks (answering phones, emails, basic miscellaneous tasks.) Again, this role is entry level and perfect for someone with any construction experience (internships included) and/or any related educational background.

0-3 years of professional or internship construction experience
Plusses
-Experience working on large scale construction projects (to assess, ask them what the budget was for the projects they were working on. Anything over $10 million is considered large scale)
