Job Title: Civil Project Manager

Job Description

As the Engineering Project Manager, you coordinate and manage the work of other professionals, providing practical, inspired designs for infrastructure projects ranging widely in scope, including water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, stormwater, small roadway, and site development assignments. Reporting to a designated Associate Project Manager or Principal, you work independently and oversee the work of others. You nurture strong working relationships with clients and provide oversight throughout all project phases. You serve as a mentor, teacher, and advisor, guiding junior team members. As the Engineering Project Manager, you manage multiple, small to medium size projects of moderate complexity.

Hard Skills

+ 8+ years of civil engineering experience

+ Thorough understanding of foundational engineering principles

+ In-depth knowledge of construction processes, plans, and specifications

+ Expertise in AutoCAD, Water CAD, Sewer CAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite

+ Development of detailed site and grading plans and erosion and sediment control plans

+ Storm water management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design and construction detailing and specifications

+ Preparation of inventory assessments, analyses and reports

+ Development of professional services proposals

+ Management of projects and clients

+ Development of SWPPP's

+ Development of technical approaches to projects, and participation in public presentations and speaking engagements

Soft Skills

+ Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

+ Ability to foster a creative engineering environment

+ Strong ability to prioritize and juggle critical tasks

+ Developing and maintaining professional contacts

+ Mentoring and guiding junior team members
