Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Fullerton, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the lighting retrofit or lighting sustainability industry and a proven track record of driving business growth. This role requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Seek out potential partnership opportunities with ESCOs, General Contractors, Lighting Manufacturers, Utilities and other relevant entities to enhance business growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the lighting retrofit and sustainability sectors.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Seek out potential partnership opportunities with vendors, distributors, and other relevant entities to enhance business growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional strategies and campaigns.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve revenue goals.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the lighting retrofit or sustainability industry.
  • Strong understanding of lighting technologies and sustainability practices.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
