Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position provides administrative, clerical and receptionist support for the Human Resources Department. The HR Assistant will  assists new employees through health screens and new hire employment paperwork (i.e., verify licensure/certification, tax and I-9 forms, confidentiality agreement, receipt of policies).  Reviews & logs change notice request for accuracy, makes necessary corrections and routes to appropriate person in HR for approval.  Processes approved Employee Change Notices and edits Personnel/Payroll system accordingly. Prepares and processes applicable status change paperwork.   Prepare benefits ,new hire, and orientation paperwork packets to be used at pre-employment appointment and new hire orientation.

Minimum Qualifications

         Education

   High School Diploma or equivalent.

   Secretarial school graduate preferred.

         Experience

   Minimum two years secretarial experience, preferably in Human Resource setting.

         Licensure and/or Certification

   Not Applicable.

         Skills

   Excellent customer service skills.

   Ability to type 55 wpm.

   Ability to use computer to perform word processing, spreadsheets and graphics.

   Excellent interpersonal skills are required to effectively interact with staff at all organizational levels.

   Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work accurately with detailed confidential information.

   Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

   Ability to maintain confidential information.
